  • One of our nurses at MiraMed and Day Spa will cleanse your skin and apply the VI Peel solution.
  • The peel does not hurt—you may feel a slight tingling or warmth.
  • You will leave the office with the peel still on your skin and an aftercare kit from Vitality Institute 

📌 Skin Care Tips:

  • Do not wash your face for four hours after application.
  • After 4 hours, gently cleanse the skin with cold water using the cleanser provided in your peel kit and pat dry 
  • Avoid touching your skin.
  • Carefully follow the step-by-step guidelines from the VI Peel kit provided by MiraMed. The kit will include post-peel towelettes, a gentle cleanser, a hydrocortisone cream, SPF, and instructions on how and when to use them during the 7-day peel process.
  • The peel will begin its magic as you go about your day!

Day 2: Skin Feels Tight & Darkens

📍 What Happens?

  • Your skin may feel tight, dry, and slightly warm.
  • Some areas might darken, which is completely normal. This is the damaged skin preparing to shed.

📌 Skin Care Tips:

  • Use the post-peel towelettes as instructed to enhance exfoliation.
  • Apply moisturizer and SPF to protect your skin.
    • Your kit will provide the SPF and instruct you to apply even if it’s not sunny out 
  • Avoid sweating, excessive sun exposure (wear a hat!), and touching your face.
  • Continue to follow the morning and bedtime instructions provided in your kit

Day 3-4: Peeling Begins!

  • Peeling starts around the mouth and spreads outward.
  • Skin sheds in thin, flaky layers (like a mild sunburn). Please keep in mind that everyone’s experience will vary depending on the condition of their skin.
  • DO NOT PICK AT YOUR SKIN! Let it peel naturally, or you may carefully use sterile manicure scissors to clip away hanging skin if needed.

  • Keep your skin moisturized with the gentle hydrating repair cream provided in your kit.
  • Avoid makeup and excessive sun exposure.
  • Continue following the morning and evening instructions provided with your kit.

Day 5-6: Peeling Slows Down

  • Most of the peeling has subsided, but you may have some mild flaking.
  • Skin looks smoother, more even-toned, and refreshed.

  • Continue hydrating and wearing SPF 50+ to protect your new skin.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure.
