LaseMD Ultra is a non-ablative fractional laser built on the Lutronic Ultra 1927 nm thulium laser. Instead of treating the entire skin surface at once, it delivers energy in microscopic columns that reach the deeper layers of skin while leaving the surrounding tissue intact.
That fractional approach is what makes it effective for texture, sun damage, uneven tone and fine lines while keeping downtime minimal: most treatments take about 30 minutes, and many patients schedule them over a lunch break.
In the days after treatment you will see MENDs (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris): tiny dark flakes, like coffee grounds, that are treated pigment and damaged cells rising to the surface and shedding. It is a sign the treatment is working; our MENDs aftercare guide covers the day-by-day.
LaseMD Ultra also anchors our hair restoration protocol: the laser creates microchannels in the scalp that improve absorption, and pairing it with PRP delivers your own growth factors where follicles need them.
For pigment-focused concerns like sun spots and redness, we may recommend Lumecca IPL instead, or alternate the two: IPL targets color at the surface while the fractional laser rebuilds texture underneath.
