PRP
Adding PRP (platelet rich plasma) to your SkinPen treatment can enhance your treatment’s collagen producing benefits and even reduce downtime. PRP is achieved after one of our providers draws your blood, hence why microneedling with PRP is commonly called the “Vampire Facial,” and spins it in a centrifuge to separate red blood cells from the platelets. Platelets contain amazing healing properties with the ability to further generate collagen and elastin and promote cell turnover.
PRP may also be used to correct crepey skin and dark circles under the eyes. Injecting PRP under the eyes helps strengthen and plump the skin by generating new collagen.
We also use PRP for hair restoration. Due to PRP’s ability to promote healing, it has been very effective in restoring hair loss. A series of at least 3 sessions of injecting PRP in the scalp can prevent hair loss and improve thinning hair.
