What is Morpheus8? Morpheus8 is a safe and effective minimally invasive radio frequency (RF) skin resurfacing device. This device by InMode Aesthetics uses radio frequency waves to generate heat which stimulates the body to produce new collagen. Morpheus8 can be used anywhere on the body for subdermal adipose tissue remodeling. Radio frequency is delivered through needles on the Morpheus8 24-pin tip that can penetrate as deep as 4mm (to target adipose tissue). By getting as deep as the adipose tissue, Morpheus8 can remodel fat even in the most stubborn areas. Stimulating collagen production helps reduce signs of aging by tightening the skin, improving fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, and more. This treatment is safe for all skin types and tones. What is IPL? Intense pulsed light (IPL), AKA “Photofacial,” is a noninvasive photorejuvenating laser treatment. It works by delivering energy into the skin to target brown and red pigment such as sun spots and vascular lesions. Large spot size and cooling tip technology allow for a quick and comfortable treatment. Sloughing of sun spots is normal; typically 2-5 days post-treatment. Typically, makeup may be applied immediately post-treatment if desired and it’s important to avoid heat/sweaty exercise for at least 24-hours post-treatment so be sure to get a workout in prior.
